Snow In The Dunes

Snow days are somewhat rare and highly valued along our coast. Though the ocean is cold to the touch, it’s warm enough to moderate temperatures keeping us comfortably above freezing most of the winter. When snow falls however, things slow to a snail’s pace and most everyone is outside (or inside) enjoying the beauty. I found inspiration with the dusting we received and painted this oil from photographs I’ve taken of snow over the years at the beach.
