Seven Blades at Sunset

When I haven’t painted in a while and there’s nothing “easy” to pick up where I left off, I will often grab a piece of paper and just start painting with little or no planning (I tend to get mired in the planning). It usually starts the creativity flowing and voila, I’m back. I’ve painted blades of grass with a sunset and ocean behind it before. In this case, as I worked backwards from painting to planning, it dawned on me it would be challenging to limit the blades of grass to the perfect number of seven. I wanted to see it I could make it work.
