Description
Whether next to the beach or deep in the woods, the gentle roar of ocean breakers is music to my ears. The rugged beauty we enjoy can be right next to Highway 101 or require a little walking. Our coastal trails often traverse the edge of the Pacific briefly and then duck back into the forest eventually crossing a small creek with a simple bridge before reappearing at another vista. It’s a Northwest tradition to explore these often muddy trails where the mood and atmosphere is wonderfully lush. My hope in this watercolor was to capture that moment of discovery when we pause to appreciate this beautiful place we call home.
