Hangin’ Out at Ecola
There was just a touch of smoke in the air as the sun headed for the horizon on this glassy evening in Ecola Park. It most likely was from a distant forest fire or perhaps a slash burn closer by. Regardless, it made for a BEAUTIFUL sunset.
These rocks off Ecola Point stretch west and then curve north. The vantage point for this painting was along the trail between Ecola Point and Indian Beach. It winds in and out of the forest while hugging the coast above the breakers much of the time. In my opinion it’s one of the most picturesque trails along the entire NW Coast with inspiration guaranteed.
