Hangin’ Around at Sunset
This watercolor was painted during a stretch of gorgeous winter weather. Before moving to the beach I remember thinking winters on the Oregon Coast are probably comprised of one storm after another. We certainly get our share of gray but on the clear days the beauty is as awe inspiring as anywhere on the planet. In the summer the sun drops straight into the sea but during the winter months because of the angle it sets at it stays close to the horizon longer which means a little more time to enjoy the beautiful colors. The coastal trees that show the storms they’ve endured are a constant source of inspiration for me.
